I'm not looking for anything spectacular, although I wouldnt mind!
I've seen a few offers recently, and not sure which one to go for.
I dont want anything too cheap, for example I dont want an Advent laptop.
Wireless must be built-in
Widescreen display would be nice, but not essential.
Size is not really an issue, but the smaller the better.
Not looking to spend over £400, unless I can claim some money back, to get it below that.
I was looking into getting the Dell Inspiron 1300, on the £339 deal, but missed it.
What else could I be looking at?

I have a Packard Bell and a Toshiba.
The Packard Bell is now SIX years old and all I've ever had to do to it was replace the hard drive 10 months ago, so that's a very good lappie for my money!
The Toshiba is just about a year old and am also very pleased with it.
The prices I've seen for these are around £500, but that was in the shops. Must be cheaper online.
I have a high opinion of these brands based on personal experience, which is why I thought I'd share this with you. No doubt the real techies will be along soon with informed advice...
Good luck in your search.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Oh, I forgot to add, it needs to have tv-out of some kind, to watch videos on my tv.0

You can still get this at £399, heres the link, but if you want it at this price, you have to change to 90 days collect and return.

Yeah, but at that price, I could get a toshiba sat pro with pretty much the same specs, but no widescreen, but tv out... Not sure what I want to do... Wait until the dell comes back or not... If it ever does!0

Any more of you brilliant bargain finders out there know of any good deals?0

check out https://www.dell.co.uk/outlet.
you can refine your search to 'inspiron laptops' then order by price. i bagged a very nice Dell 6000 laptop with a retail price of £629 for £439, and last year i got a top of the range 510m that was £1300 RRP for £730.
Keep checking regularly - at odd hours is best - as Dell drop more pcs into the outlet store more or less hourly.
I'd strongly recommend the Dell 6000 as a good allrounder, but read up on it on their main website and see if it suits...0 -
