I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but I've just gone to look for the student edition of MS Office in PC World, and although it is showing on the main page as being £98, if you reserve online to collect @ store, the actual price is just £54.03!
You can only collect @ store, and not have the item delivered, as you need to prove your student status at checkout. Too good a bargain to miss! though!!

As good as MS office is, having tried openoffice after reading Martin's article here...

I can't ever honestly see myself paying for MS office again, and all you need to do is make sure you save your docs with MS office extensions and they'll work with the uni system! For those that want it though it's not bad, but there's a cheaper deal to be found here for £38.95...

I would recommend paying extra for the CD as you might just need it.0 -
A lot of people who arn't students like the package, PC World is probably the cheaper deal if you arn't a student.Happy New Year!

OpenOffice is just as good and free, although i've only really used the word part of it so far, as long as you remember to save your files as .doc then you can use them with office on uni computers.0
