Can you claim DLA if your condition is not diagnosed?

Just a quick note because others have covered it already - DLA is about what help/support you need NOT what help you're getting. If you're housebound because of your ankle, it would count towards, not against the mobility side of things. Phone the disability benefits helpline (08457 123 456) and they'll advise you - they're very helpful and approachable. I would guess they'll advise you to claim anyway - it's not wrong to try claiming - if you're not entitled they just won't award it so you'll be doing nothing wrong
