cash machine limits

Hi there, i have been looking at natwest online to find out if its possible to increase the cash machine limit on my account but cant find any info - can anyone help please.

Call them up and ask. They may well say no, as it has credit/risk/fraud related implications. Can't do any harm just asking them, surely?

Can see why you say fraud as clearly in the event of cloning more can be taken before the card is stopped. Why credit isssues though?

Higher machine limit = higher amount someone could attempt to go overdrawn to. Remember that bloke who posted a few months back saying he'd figured out his hidden limit (what Barclays now terms the Personal Reserve) by withdrawing cash at the machine until it wouldn't give him any more? Now imagine him with a £1000 withdrawal limit. Yeah.

Thanks for the replies - my limit is 250 but i would like to round it to 300 as i often find im transfering funds to my solo from my current to take it out that way, would be easier to just get it out on the one card though instead of faffing about with two cards, i will ring tomorrow and ask.

one other question on the off chance- whats the servicecard 250 is it just to get the larger CG facility,

I think you'll find it's the same as te Servicecard 100 but with a £250 cheque guarantee limit.

i do use my cheque book alot for bits and pieces so just wondered if that was the only difference,
