rip off discounts!

hi all,
this is just a moan i am having . i thought i would share with you all.
i am with loyds tsb and they say you will get a 6.5%discount on top of tour operators discounts if you book with their travel service so i phoned them.
first choice holiday to bulgaria on first choice site £914
lloyds tsb with supposed 6.5%disc £954
i also got a leaflet with the same offer from natwest bank with a 6% disc or up to 30%if booking an airtours holiday so i thought i'd give them a try.
airtours holiday to bulgaria on their own site £1042
natwest with up to 30%disc £1107.
no one could give me an explaination of the prices with so called discounts.
cheapest price i've been able to get so far is £883 with eclipse holidays.
so watch those companies offering you a discount. check it out first.

I rarely trust these discounts you can usually find better deals elsewhere.
Thomsons latest ad campaign that says “Web prices on the high street” to me means that there web prices are probably far more than anyone else’s. ;)
  • i think there's a trend starting whereby the cheapest offer you will get is from the firms own website. what's the point with the internet of a company like BA paying commision to someone to sell their flights. it's just as easy to click on ba.com than another.com .

I disagree checked a few prices recently and Thomsons seems the most competitive plus I always find their accomodation is nicer and better quality than other companies..........

I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it but Atol numbers can be checked on the Civil Aviation Authority website. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.
  • Does anyone have any ideas about how to get a discount on a holiday with Travelsphere? I've tried Mint travel service but they don't cover them.
