    For middle aged & retired people without mortgages all the Government measures for inflation are unrealistic.

    For people in the 'grey' category, the majority of expenses are in food/clothes/energy/fuel/council tax.
    Most people in this category are looking at personal inflation in excess of 6% pa. so the savage cut in interest rates is a double whammy!

    Very true! And mostly energy/fuel and council tax, I think - we can cut down on new clothes and food.

    Council taxes have to rise by 4% to 5%.
    Because they have to house and furnish all the free loading Imigrants.
    This country is a complete joke!!!!!!
    responsible hard working people are the fall guys
