Insurance company claims service - league table.

An article in the Insurance Times today shows a league table based on insurance brokers opinions of various insurers. Makes very interesting reading :-

The research does relate to commercial clients and broker high net worth clients (Chubb and Hiscox) but the results are pretty indicative of insurers service levels across the board. Because of the broker slant, a number of firms do not appear, Co-op, Churchill, Direct Line and NFU being four that spring to mind. Not a poor reflection on them, it is simply a case that they do not deal with the brokers.
Pleased to say I am insured with the 2nd placed firm, Hiscox and work for a firm well up the top 10.
Quinn is of interest - very near the bottom. Quite popular with young motorists. Also, the major composites RSA and NU etc put in a poor showing.

Not surprised that Tradex is bottom. Any motor traders or taxi drivers should really think twice about going with them, no matter how cheap the premium they offer. If I had a pound for every policyholder of ours who left us for Tradex but then came straight back to us at the next renewal I'd be a very rich man indeed.0
