hi, me and my girlfriend have moved into a flat and been there 8 months now. its rented but trying to get the landlord is a nightmare.
anyways, during the summer is was all good, nice flat, nice and warm and just about everything we wanted. but now the real cold is moving in, the back room and hull/landing are mega cold  . the back room window is only single glazzed. you can feel a draft but not sure where from. any ideas how to find it or something i can do to keep the room warm (no heaters, have to use portable). we also have the same problem with the landing window.
then there's the front door, whats the best way to stop drafts ?
lastly, any cheap places to buy blinds ? we need a kitchen and bathroom one...
thanks.

You can find something similar in a local DIY store or Wilkinson.0 -
If you are on any kind of benefit you can apply for this:

Other than that your landlord isnt oblidged to provide double glazing or draft proofing. But you can put on draft proofing if you wish. Keep all the doors of the property closed, especially ones leading to outside doors and ones leading upstairs. Heat the room your in at the time and carry the heater from room to room.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
