As a MacDonald hotels employee, sorry about your treatment in Edinburgh. The North Berwick Marine is much better

We are going skiing tomorrow so I got on the phone to my manager to get an employee discount room - this deal is even better though!
Thanks OP!0 -

The £19.99 rate does not include use of the spa but for £5 a head you can pay to get in. Still a great saving. I booked this inn at £19.99 for one night and the McDonald Highland Hotel for one night too. The rate for that hotel was £85/night slightly cheaper having booked through hotel connexions.
Hope this helps.0 -
Thanks for the post - an unexpected holiday has just been booked !!0

Going on th 20 Feb.3 nights great offer. Interesting really know nothing about the place or area.
I cannot walk up hills---so I go to the Highlands!!!
Hopefully can hire a car. Hopefully decent pub near hotel and a nice eatery but reviews say food is nice in hotel!
Going by train, I am a 'sweaty sock' but not been back since I was 7. Wife has never been to Scotland.
If anyone has any information about the area and what and where to go would be very grateful!!!Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

Try the Cairngorm Funicular Railway up the mountain - fantastic views for little effort. They've just had 6" covering of snow just now too! We've booked for 25th Feb - so hope there's some snow left!

I just came back from using this deal at the weekend to Ski up at CairnGorm, We shared a twin and had breakfast there and found it clean functional and friendly.
A tenner each for a a place to kip between trying to break our necks on the icy runs was a steal
Had a great time, the town itself is a funny mix but the country around it was breath taking in the snow and sun.
With the extra snow the skiing will be fantastic as long as the winds stay down and don't blow off the powder.
as an extra tip theres a ski and board hire shop in town where you can buy passes and get kit hired so you can avoid the long queues at the base station.0 -
