Glad it all went smoothly Steve, fingers crossed for Mrs. Skint's car :beer:Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Thanks for the reply skintsteve. I haven't used my credit cards for over 2 1/2 years but I'm worried as after my dear father passed away 3 years ago from cancer I took my daughter on a holiday of a lifetime thinking I would pay for it out of my inheritence. Well my Dad left everything to my step mum and £500 quid to me and my brother, needless to say It didn't cover the cost of the holiday!
I wondered if I'll be seen as been reckless! :eek:0 -
can I ask how much her car is worth? I dont have my phone interview until 2nd feb and im unsure about my car, i had it valued on a website who buys cars and they offered me £1900, the think the car guide values it at £2100 to £2400, I really need it though not only to get to and from work, but part of my job requires me to use it for work. Plus the normal running kids around picking up from childminders ect..
Glad your interview went ok, hope mine goes the same.

startingover. I would just explain the situation as above. You were expecting some money, and it never materialized. Who was to know? Maybe if you went on holiday last week, knowing your were insolvent they might frown, but 3yrs ago is along time...BR 14th Jan 2009

hmmm I did go away last year too... but aren't we entitled to holidays as you can put it on your SOA £40?
Nothing extravegant last year, but I think I work damned hard and me and my family deserve a break rightly or wrongly Don't think the OR will see it like that though :rolleyes:0 -
Hi nerousmother.
Im not going to tell you the actuall amount of the car unitl its decided if we can keep it. (tempting fate and all that), but it's only slightly more than yours. They are aware that 2nd car is needed, for the same reasons as you. I think you'll be ok, but it upto your OR. Just tell them it's needed for work and kids. I hope it works out for you too, and the interview will be ok. Just tell them the truth and you'll be fine. GOOD LUCK!!BR 14th Jan 2009
