removing fluff from velour car seats ?

Hi the car is having it's first proper clean since xmas but i'm having a few difficulties !
I can't seem to get the fluff and hairs off the velour car seats. i've got one of those red fibre cleaning things the ones where you sweep one way and it collects it and then sweep it the other way and you 'should' end up with a hand full of fluff, but it's not doing the trick... I've also got an auto glym rubber brush a similar thing but with rubber bristles and that's not working either !
Has anyone got any other ideas because it's really doing my nut in and look a mess.
or any other car cleaning tips for that matter .
thanks :-(

Hi Sarah
I use either cellotape or masking tape to remove fluff, cat hair and other assorted debris from my clothes. Works really well - just put the tape sticky side down on the area to be cleaned and lift off.
Hope that is useful.0 -

Hello Sarah1
I also use cellotape…just wind a couple of turns around the palm of your hand with the sticky side outside then dab away at the fluff. Incredibly simple, incredibly effective. The £2 Coin Savers Club = £346.00 (£300.00 transferred to Savings a/c)

I usually use some type of tape too but there are some useful tips on this page
How to remove lint from clothing
I also saw a sticky lint remover brush in Boots which is made by Sellotape - you could buy it with any spare advantage points if you have them0 -

Get your hoover outside and hoover the seats with the hose. For stuck hairs and fluff use a sticky lint roller.Just run, run and keep on running!0

i must admit ive tried to make my own sticky lint roller by wrapping cellotape round a hairbrush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(not quite as good as the real thing though!!) :rotfl:0

Sticky tape will do the job, but is less cost-effective than the sticky rubber rollers available from most £1 shops, which regain their stick when washed, and can be re-used many, many times, though they do wear out eventually.0
