Phone Line Rental

Not sure whether to post this in this forum or the Internet Access forum but I'll try here.
We currently have broadband through Madasafish and our phone line rental through BT. We are just coming towards the end of our second contract with MAAF and I am considering changing to a package which will include phone line rental.
My only concern is if we are disappointed with the service and decide to migrate again next year how easy is it to move the line rental to another provider and do they tend to charge for this.
We have migrated the broadband before from Tiscali to MAAF which went smoothly but always kept the phone with BT.

There is no problem moving the phone line around to different companies.
But before you switch to maaf, note that they have said already they have no plans to copy BT (who own them!) and include free calls to 0845/0870 numbers in their packages. As well as other disadvantages regarding charging for caller display, cannot use 1899 etc.!0
