Edf warning

EDF

Just a small warning from what i've noticed over the past week or so.

- When checking the gas meter firstly it was spinning round VERY fast (sounds silly but it looks too fast for what i normally see)

- Don't just pay what they say, we phoned up and asked why the bill was so high and they had 'forgotten' to deduct the £250 we'd paid them the previous quarter

- Regarding the meter, it's a 2006 one but as has been in the news, problems about companies calculating wrong lead us to be wary so we've been told to keep track of the meter readings for the next 7 days to monitor it, see if there's a problem or not. Probably not a bad idea to do every 6 months or so.

Just a quick post really in case others had encountered similar

If you had an imperial meter before the installation of the 2006 metric meter, you would see a difference in the rate of the revolution of the meter check digits. Each red dial is a 1/10, 1/100 and1/1000 of a cubic meter (If you have red dials).
The red dials are not read when reading the meter by meter readers.

Most imperial domestic meters have only two check digits, cubic feet and 10's of cubic feet which is not read as imperial meters are only read to 100 cubic feet.

Ensure your invoice is metric against the metric meter.
