my washing machine is only about 2 years old, and was working fine until now.
it will not take in water when machine is turned on. have checked water filter onpipe on back of machine but its clear.
any ideas on what problem might be?

Most likely the inlet valve has burnt out, or the timer supplying it is faulty. Without testing with a meter it's not possible to know which. Does the machine show signs of life otherwise (ticking noises, lights?).Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
