I make a big container which lasts me about 36 hours,
I put all sorts in mine as Im not a big eater so have 2 or 3 glasses a day.
I also as well as rasps, strawbs, bananas, blueberries, put mixed chopped nuts, honey (i hate honey ut you cant taste it) carrot with raspberries, couple of sprouts, honestly you
cannot taste them at all, god how I hate sprouts but Im getting the nutrients.
My blender is the best thing that I got for my birthday last year.
Usually fill it up with cranberry or Orange juice.
Sprouts???????? Really? I love sprouts, but even I wouldn't go for that!!!! May try hiding them for the rest of the family who love smoothies, but hate sprouts.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Honestly, you cannot taste them, put a couple or three in the next smoothies you make and there will be no reaction, keep on not telling them, Im a great believer in what the eye doesnt see, the heart wont grieve.
Sprouts actually make me gag trying to get them down but this way Im getting the nutrients from them.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I have to agree with the sprouts comment (although I do actually like sprouts). Another good one is cabbage. One of my favourite smoothies is a green one that is crammed with spinach, my 5 year old loves it too - but not sure if that's more to do with the fact that I tell him he will have muscles like Popeye!
If you make homemade ice cream sprouts and cabbage (wouldn't put both in together though) can be put in to make it a bit healthier and apparently you can't taste it - but ice cream is for enjoying so not sure I would bother, unless I had kids that refused to eat veggies, in which case I would be sneaking them into whatever I could.
Anyway, that doesn't answer the OP's question, I know people who make smoothies 1st thing in the morning and drink from them all day, but all the one's that I have made have seperated and looked awful. Some just needed a quick stir and have been fine, but some haven't tasted quite right. I have heard that if you add some vitamin c powder it helps it to keep longer - but I haven't tried it so don't know if it works0 -
I put mine in one of those containers with a pop up thing in the top. It does tend to separate when stood but a quick shake before pouring its fine.
I'll try the cabbage but to be honest apart from the base of fruit (buy cheaply from markets) rasps, strwbs, blueberries etc and put them all in a box in the freezer) i take a handful of them frozen and add anything handy, chopped nuts, honey, banana, any bits of veg in the fridge, I dont have many left over soft veg to throw out now.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I used to make a shake/smoothie for breakfast the night before but not actually liquidise it until the morning. I'd put about half a pint of milk, chunks of banana, few strawberries, whatever I was using into the liquidiser the night before and then just blitz and drink in the morning. Banana chunks under liquid so no browning and you got all the freshness with no hassle at the time.0
