Game warranty question...

Hiya,

I've just phoned to speak to the Game warranty people and I am baffled by how I've just been spoken to. I feel like I've been "fobbed off" so I'm hoping one of you lovely people might be able to help me.

Long story short, we have a PSP with the extended warranty from Game and the warranty is due to expire in November 2009. The PSP is currently on ebay and I would like to know if we can transfer ownership of the policy to the winning bidder. Is this possible? If so, what information do I need to get from the winning bidder in order for the policy to be transferred (aside from the obvious name and address)?

Thanks

Is the warranty in your name?

No, it's not. It's in my OHs. When I phoned Game I was asking hypothetically (sp?) what information Game would need in order to change the policy over (so I could get this information from the buyer before my OH phoned up to changed the policy).

extended warranties normally give you a piece of paper with loads of small print on. detailed in here will be anything you need to know, if it is at all possible to transfer said warranty into someone elses name.

Now, from my POV, buying a second hand PSP, without a warranty and with a 10 month warranty, well, it's not going to increase the price that much, maybe £5 or £10.. this is ebay we're talking about!

    Just my opinion

Every little helps, though right? If we sell the PSP, the winning bidder might as well have the little piece of paper. It won't be any use to us anymore. Maybe my OH will get more info from these "people" then I did this morning.

    Thanks anyway

    According to the GAME website.

Point 5 says .You cannot transfer the insurance to someone else without our written permission..

point 7 says. You cannot transfer the insurance to someone else

You should have had a copy of this document sent with your warranty (if its not printed on the back)
