    Hello!

Seems that everyone is having a bit better day today . Get better soon SM!

I have recovered from my bug and back in full health (withing reason :o)

    I have today:

    - scratch cards
    - curly quizzes
    - race caller (not happy with the rule change either)
    - emailed college to tell them that I am going to quit
    - assemble my new shelves
    - not put heating on as moving the book boxes should keep me warm
    - free bingo

    Will do:

    - check online banking
    - update spreadsheets
    - turn tomato sauce into pasta bake
    - strip chicken legs and freeze in portions
    - sort out books
"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

  • Hi all

today is a bit of a spend day. £20 for farrier and wont even tell you how much the pup is costing!!

Did lots of figures last night and worked out I'm not sure we can afford a holiday this year which is very sad. We have NEVER had a holiday as a family and was really hoping to do one before my daughter gets to old that she will have left home. I was hoping to do a week in a caravan somewhere. If I book it online we have to pay for it all in one go which I cant do but if I book over the phone it will cost me an extra £30 but I can pay later. Do you advise I go for second option? I dont want them to sell out and I think it is a good buy, especially given the prices go up so much in the school holidays. If we go 2 weeks later the cost will more than double.

Anyway, onto my dfw stuff today....

    - check online banking
    - update standing orders to various accounts to reflect new budget
    - brought lunch with me (although I feel Boots a calling - if I go, will use points and ask others if they want me to get for them so can get their points!)
    - dont replace lounge bulb for a few days and live in darkness LOL save bit leccy
    - dry washing on radiators
    - make pad to credit card even though not end of month yet. They sent me a letter to say because I am such a valued customer, they are increasing my interest level to 34.9%!!!! Luckily it is a very low balance (£160 as I use just to keep credit rating good on one thing!) Going to get rid of it now at that level.
    - file away paperwork.
    - storecupboard tea
    - free biscuits at work
    - do some study at lunch time using work computers

Think thats me for today...will update as I go!

  • Am very grumpy today – work being a pain in the neck and just had a heated conversation on the phone about my fridge shelves – basically had the fridge was delivered in October and they said the shelves would be sent down in the next few days – im still waiting for them!! They said they sent them on Friday but they’re either lying or they sent them to the wrong address cos I don’t have them – they said to phone back on Monday. But it was their tone that got to me – they sounded annoyed at me for chadsing them up!!! Err hello!! Ive been waiting for 3 months for these shelves and my fridge looks a mess cos I cant stack anything in it! grrrrrr I need a punch bag to take it out on, unfortunately the nearest thing I have to a punch bag is my work colleagues – so they’d better leave me alone – at least for 20 mins!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully this thread will make me smile again!! Anyway today wont be very DFW as im going to TGI firdays (heaven) after the cinema (paid for already) but its nice cos its mine and the OH ‘date night’ where we go for a movie and a meal and basically go for a date – lovely.

Anyway 3 weeks today and Ill be going to spain for a mini break over valentines day – a ryanair cheapy, so cant complain. And 11 weeks today will be my wedding day!!! hope the weather isn’t like this though!
