Letting two houses to rent one house together.

in House buying, renting & selling
We have just got married and have two houses. We have opportunity to rent a larger one and want to let the two we have already to afford to live in the one together (not a good time to sell). My present house is mortgage free and husband has a mortgage on his)
What are the tax implications on this?
Any advice on anything would be very helpful?

    Are both houses in the same area? Maybe easier just to live in one house and let the other one.
