I think that was somewhat tasteles. A few of us here have lost close ones recently.
When a person dies their "signing authority" should pass over to the executor of their estate as named in their will. That's the person who will deal with the log book. Can I help?0 -

I expect most of us on this site will have experienced the loss of someone close to us.
I don't accept my remark was tasteless in any way, in fact I would suggest that perhaps you are being overly sensitive, given your recent loss which I am genuinely sorry to hear of.
My post held a jokey comment to another MSE'r who I have interacted with on many threads and I felt would not mind such a tongue in cheek remark.
However I will remove my post to avoid the possibility of it continuing to upset you.Herman - MP for all!

When my dad died I signed the log book and then wrote to the DVLC explaining what had happened, the family will have to send in the gentleman's death certificate and licence anyway.0
