How do I find out what tariff I am on?

Both my Gas & Electricity are with British Gas - and have been since I moved into my property 10 years ago.
I'm trying to get quotes from other companies - but they ask about my current tarrif - and give me 20 odd options to chose from!!!
All I know, its BG - pay monthly via Direct Debit for both - and Ive never been in touch with them since moving in, for e.g - to fix my price or change tarrifs etc.
Nothing on my bill says the type of tarrif!
Need some help fast!
Thanks

is there a way of checking the price you are paying for your units against a tarriff list on bg website to maybee give an idea.0

How do I know if I am paying something called a 'standing charge'?0
-
there are 2 types of accounts
standing charge where the units are generally a bit less but you pay afew pence standing charge each day
non standing charge you just pay an energy rate a tad more than the other one.
If you look on your bill where your units arelisted and costed out there is usually something underneath stating the amount of days and the rate then giving the total. If you haven't anything other than your units. i'd say you are not on standing charge.0 -
Hello! I just called npower and changed from juice to sign online14 (whatever that may mean) and am likely to save about 270 per year! I'll be on a standing quarterly charge for both gas and electricity (£115 per year) and will pay much less per unit used. It couldn't have been simpler; the lady I spoke to was most helpful. It's good to talk!!:j0
