  • Very good post and i didnt realise about the soak away , will have to look into that .

Also my mums on Motability car thing and i found that although saving is pretty hard , never fill the tank to more then half way up , that extra 20 or more KG ( 1KG = 1 litter of petrol) really does weight the car down so the smaller amout of petrol , the cheaper it is per mile just dont leave yourself to short . i always try to keep it between a quarter and half a tank of petrol .
    Cashback: £0.00
    £2 in a pot :£2.00

currently trying to become a millionaire , 1 penny at a time .....:rotfl:
  • Hmmm! Thanks for the tip about soakaway discounting... something to look into.

PDSA also have other strings attached. You need to register your pet prior to any treatment at a cost I think its £10 every 6 months and any work must be carried out once you start to register the following month, and the treatment must be new, not existing treatment
  • Nice to hear your story of how you've successfully saved money due to mSE.

  • Hey, great thread

The only way i think you can save on your TV licence is if you got rid of it and watched your programmes on the internet - (as long as they are not onlive time - otherwise you will need to have a licence).

All the major channels now let you watch online and if you have a wire to link your computer to your TV then you can still watch it on there.

I did think of this option but i like background noise and usually have my tv on when i'm in.
