If I wasn't relying on these flights for my summer holiday this year it would actually be quite funny how much of a joke this competition has become.

I know what you mean - after being made redundant almost 6 months ago and still no job (even after I have applied for over 100 jobs) I was really looking forward to going to Turkey (as hotels are so unbelieveably cheap but flights are sooooooo expensive) but no doubt all the free seats have now gone as there are only about 6 weeks (2 flights per week) to choose from.

Turkey is brilliant, hope you get there at some point!

My boyfriend was made redundant last July (His first day back at work after coming back from Turkey funnily enough) and still has no job, I'm a student, could just about manage to pay for a hotel for the two of us but there's no way I could afford a full holiday.

It's just annoying that they've got our hopes up of getting away and now it's more than likely not going to happen.

You would think Jet2 would know that most people who have won flights are feeling the pinch from the credit crunch and can't afford holidays yet they are just making a bad situations even worse! Hopefully that's the end of my ranting over this comp - it just really annoys me that they played on people's desperation then have done anything and everything not to cough up! Shame on you Jet2!

We're hoping to go in September too - Efes yummmeeee It's just not the same out of a bottle over here, is it? Probably got a lot to do with the gorgeous weather, nice people, the food ................... :rotfl:
