What's annoying me the more I think about it is that they said those on hotmail wouldn't be at a disadvantage because we had to wait to put our choices in. We obviously were if they were only a few spaces for competition winners on each flight. If I got my email I would have been in the first lot to apply, and probably got one of my first choices.

I wouldn't bet on it - I put my first choices in an hour after I got confirmation email on 4th and only just being told now that I didn't get any - the more I hear the more I think it is down to absolute luck and as I have to be one of the unluckiest people on the planet LOL

I hope you get some good news soon - do let us all know (it will give me hope that I may get flights soon - fingers crossed)

According to my friend (who just had their third choice booking confirmation through - btw they put their request in for a third time 10 days ago and this was the first time they had heard anything - lucky thing! I'm not jealous ..................... not really! ha ha) you only get hand luggage, you have to pay extra (she thinks it's £10 per bag each way) for hold luggage but as she says it's a small price to pay for free flights.

Fingers crossed I get my flights soon

Something which is bugging me is - have i lost out on Sardinia because they've run out of allocated seats, OR because someone at Jet2 has made a stupid typing error?

I ask this because look at the list of destinations:


Lanzarote, Malaga, Alicante, Amsterdam, Avignon(Provence), Barcelona, Belfast, Milan, Paris, Chambery, Dusseldorf, Faro, Rome, Geneva, Crete (Heraklion), Ibiza, Jersey, Krakow, , Almeria, La Rochelle, Tel Aviv, Menorca (Mahon), Murcia, Nice, Cyprus (Olbia), Paphos, Palma, Rhodes, Prague, Pisa, Tenerife, Toulouse, Salzburg, Venice, Sharm el Sheikh, Newquay, Larnaca, Split, Budapest, Cork, Corfu, Dalaman, Dubrovnik, Blackpool & Albert.

They list Paphos (which is one place they fly to on Cyprus)
They list Larnaca (which is another place they fly to on Cyprus)
AND
They list "Cyprus (Olbia)"


Olbia is where they fly to on Sardinia!


This same list appeared on the drop-down menu when i completed my application form. (When I plumped for Nice in the end, though i still haven't heard anything)

Oh and also, on the drop-down list, they originally listed "Blackpool & Albert" together, as one destination! They've separated them now.

Anyway, i've emailed them to ask about the Olbia thing. Though i won't hold my breath waiting for a reply.
I notice that Cyprus(Olbia) has now disappeared from the drop-down menu; it's only mentioned on the Ts & Cs list.
