Bean casserole?

Has anyone got any good recipes for bean casserole? I have a few tins of differint beans in the cupboard such as pimto, lima, chickpeas and want to do something with them. Having a poor week this week as just spent £150 on a go karting party for my son. Worth every penny though. Also splashed out on some seeds to grow my own veggies but family not impressed with the idea that altough I have food in the house it might take a while to get to the table :rotfl: .
Thought of shoving them in the slow cooker with some nice sasuages and tinned toms. Maybe mash and cheese on the top? Got some bulgar wheat too if that can be used. Any deas will be great.
Thank you

Sounds like my spicy sausage hotpot would be an excellent choice then, which I served up with bulgar wheat the other night
I can't remember if I've posted the recipe before so will give you a basic run down of it here ...
Brown off sausages in a large frying pan and set aside.
Peel and chop an onion, garlic, carrots, potatoes and fry in same pan.
Add seasonings plus 2-3 tsps paprika and cook for around 5mins.
Pour in small amount of boiling water to de-glaze pan.
Now from here you can either continue to cook in the pan on hob, or transfer to the slow cooker ...
Add tin tomatoes/passata/tin campbells soup (I used the mediteranean tomato soup) whatever you have to hand, plus a few drops of tabasco sauce (if you haven't got any then add a bit of chilli powder with the paprika).
Chop each sausage into three and put back in the pan/slow cooker.
Depending what you've used above, add sufficient boiling water to make a sauce consistency (probably won't need it with tinned tomatoes).
If on hob, simmer for 30-40 mins then add a couple of tins of beans, whatever you have to hand (I used cannelini and flagelot this time, but butter beans, chick peas etc all work well with this) or cook on low for 5-6 hours in SC, adding beans for the last hour or so.
It's a very adaptable recipe and you can chuck in more or less anything you like, or even omit the sausages and have a spicy bean casserole

Check the Old Style Recipe Index and the Slow Cooker Recipe Index, both have vegetarian recipes that can be adapted to suit your bean collection.
You can find these via my signature any time you see it or...
..you can use the Indexed Collections link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Or better yet, if you make anything with beans in the future buy uncooked ones which is cheaper and healthier (most tinned beans have added salt and chemicals).
