And does that (as post #4 implies) require you to specify which is your home Accounts Office?
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !
  • Nope - I only completed .....

Name of account to be debited
    Account Number
    Sort Code
Specify single payment or monthly plan
    Date of next payment
    Amount
    Reference no (UTR+K)

To be honest, I thought all payments went to a central account, managed by HMRC in Cumbernauld. They are then allocated to your HMRC SA "account" identified by your UTR. It shouldn't matter which office handles your tax (used to be the old Inspector of Taxes) as payments are handled by Cumbernauld (used to be the old Collector of Taxes).

I should emphasise, that I logged on to SA Online first and followed the process from there. If you try to pay via other links, the process may well be different and might request different information.

Thanks for that. Couldn't believe they would implement DD and require you to define the office - for SA payments. But you never know - it's taken close to 10 years for them to get this far.

The SA database actually sits at Shipley - but both offices have discrete BofE accounts which feed SA. As here :
