Southern Electric tariffs
Does anybody know about Southern Electric and the different unit tariffs they offer for electricity & gas? And what terms & conditions come with each tariff?
I can't seem to find any T&Cs and want to as after they initially sent me info about it being more cost effective for me to switch to their 'Evening/Weekend Electricity tariff' (rather than Domestic Standard which I'm currently on), they have now told me this is only available to customers in 'their' area, so no can do.
When questioned on this, they couldn't confirm which areas were covered, but said that I am currently on the best tariff available, even thought this contradicts what the previous call centre agent said to me the week before.
I'd especially like to know what 'their area' is - If some 'Southern' Electric tariffs don't cover the south east which I am then that's pretty ironic!
Anyone have any info??

Evening and weekend sounds more like a telephone tariff to me
SE electricity costs are currently very expensive compared to other providers, have you tried a price comparison site. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Well that's what I thought, but I was sent the tariff information through (albeit evasive info, no direct price per unit info, and certainly no T&Cs)..
I have checked other providers but am nervous about switching atm incase all pricing gets raised. May have to resort to that, but figured switching to a different tariff in the meantime would be a good bet - doesn't look so good now..0
