what about the summer months hows that worked do u think they will keep at 35 pm just not sure how they save the money during summer0

I think you might need to speak to them. Ask them what they want to set the DD at (they normally tell you this early on) and if they say £50, tell them how much you've used in a week and ask for it to be set at £35. I have always found that if you're reasonable and have numerical evidence they are flexible.
When you turn your heating off, read your meter and calculate how much you're using in a summer month. Calculate your expected annual use and divide by 12 and ask for your DD to be set accordingly.
So long as you keep an eye on your meter (https://www.imeasure.org.uk is good for this) at least once a month, you shouldn't get caught out. If your supplier is inflexible, persist. They may be extra cautious to avoid you getting into debt from underestimating.0 -
Thanks so much i will do that i just joined the site u said about so fingers crossed be ok thanks again for all your help and advice0

That's OK. I'm sure you'll be fine - it's people who don't give the cost a thought until their meters are read who come unstuck. They have a DD for £x and use what they like, getting a nasty shock when the supplier gets a meter reading and resets the DD. So long as you know how much is normal for you, how much it costs and keep a check on the meter, you should be OK.
Watch out for price rises and if in any doubt, ring your supplier. If you give meter readings, they'll calculate for you. People moan about the call centre people but most are OK so long as you're not asking for something unreasonable.0
