Hello all,
Although considering direct investment in shares, a simpler strategy could be a fund, but I want NO additional risk. This presumably means just some sort of shell, where I still have full legal title to the underlying shares?
I dont want any form of company between myself and my money just in case they go pop, or suffer.
Any ideas?

You have only one choice then.
Get all your money and stick it under a mattress.
Other than that "some form of company" will always be between you and your money !!!!
If you buy an individual stock, there will be quite a few company's between you and your money.....a stockbroker..a bank...another stock broker and the actual company you are invested in.
If you buy a Fund, or ETF the number of different people between you and your money will be too many to count !!!!'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
