Travelling's dial up needs

Hi everyone. This is going to sound like praise for AOL  , for which I apologise..... almost.
I am in the UK for around 5 months each year. When here I am in clients homes for varying times. So I need an isp that allows me to dial up from any line & any telephone provider.
Four years ago the only one I could find who said this was no problem was AOL. -- (Most others I contacted could not get their (air?) heads around the concept.) --
And so AOL has proved to be fine.- I plug in, boot up, walk around the garden whilst AOL's tosh loads in, then select BT or NTL, & most times, I am on-line in a minute.
Also each time I leave the UK I cancel AOL without any problem, & pick it up again months later; again without a problem.
Yes, I object to my pc being interfered with by all their cr**p, but if you can find me another isp dial up that gives me what I need, & hardly ever knocks me off when I stay on-line 16 hours non-stop each day &, (although no longer free), still has a relatively cheap (thxs to 'Say No to 0870'), if lousy, tech service --- I would love to know of it.
Yes, I would love to change, but who to?
