Really confused on claiming?

so i went through my bank statements last night..

and from feb 05 wen account was oppened to date (last charge last year or so)
i have paid £1700 in charges on a couple of occassions £300 in one month..

the account is now in credit has been for a while but obviously the charges have caused me alot of financial hardship..

i have alot of debts including mortgage arrears (which im hoping mortgage company will consolidate back into mortgage for me)

can i claim? i tried a while back and got a letter re the test case but i dont really understand...

if i could claim these back it would be a great kick start to getting these debts paid off..

also i have an old first direct account opened about 4 years ago closed abot 2 and half ago.. i paid an awful lot of charges on tht account.. its now closed and i have no paperwork for it... how do i claim for tht one?

thanks in advance

If you have already written to the bank, your claim is on hold until the outcome of the OFT test case

Send a DPA SAR with your full name, current and any previous addresses when the a/c was open, DOB, aproximate dates of opening and closure of the a/c etc.
