Can I do anything about Swift Advances

Options
I need some advice please;
My husband and I got an urgent loan out over two years ago from swift advances, to cover an existing loan and pay off some debts. I am trying to remember (find out who the original loan was with and now in hindsight of this website, why we needed to borrow so much from swift, as we have never initially borrowed that much money).
Firstly, can anyone tell me how/where I can investigate as to who we would have had the loan out with??? I am sure that it would have been a secured loan.
Because of redundancies, and mental health problems etc; we got into problems in 2007 with swift, the case did go to court and we had an arrangement to pay back.
Anyway, with new jobs, we remortgaged our house, paid off swift in full, in 2007, since then been debt free.
But have been checking out the settlement figures, is there any chance of reclaiming any of the fees??

  • Hi,

    I don't know enough to answer your question but I can give your post a nudge so perhaps others more able to help will see it.

    If it's a secured loan will the lender with which you have your mortgage perhaps be able to tell you who had a 2nd charge on your property?
  • And if you get no answers to this query, perhaps trying re-posting in the Debt-Free Wannabee board?
