When you open another browser from one browser, i.e. a competition from the other site, how do I set it so that when the other browser opens it opens to full screen rather than half screen, its doing my head in!!

you need to drag the box manually to full size

just hover over the edge untill the arrows show, then hold down the left mouse buttn and drag it to full size . then close it

...and if that doesn't work try this:

(Follow these directions carefully).
Start IE, right click any link on a web page, and click Open in New Window. Go back to the first IE window you opened and close it.
Return to the second window and manually drag it to fill the screen. (Don't use the maximize button, for that's a temporary setting that won't be retained.)
Now click the File menu and, holding the Ctrl key down, click Close.

Right click on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then click Tile Windows Vertically to get them side by side. Double click on the blue bar at the top of each window to get them back to full size.
