Have you changed the connection details on your laptop since you changed router?

You will need to enter the WPA (or WEP) key of the new router. The new router will also have a new SSID.

What OS are you using ?
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

Assuming you havn't changed them the SSID and Password (WPA) will be on a label on your Sky router.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Definitely a user configuration problem. If changing or checking the settings as advised above do not work, your best is to contact service provider to check all your settings.
Depending on how advanced you are you check the settings on yoru netgear router by logging onto http://192.168.0.1
default user name is usually set as admin and password is password

password may = "sky" if "password" does not work.

Quite correct Albion, User = admin, password = sky.

  • What model is your Netgear router? I'm having problems keeping the wireless connection at the moment, it just seems to stop working after a while, or into other rooms, so I'm using my patch cable to connect directly to it.

I was assuming that it's a weather thing as it's been colder this winter than last year.
