Types of insurance to get for a FTB??

Hi there,
My husband and I are buying a house with a mortgage repayment of £680/mth. The mortgage advisor had put together some insurance for us which together added up to £120/mth. She did it VERY quickly because we were running late that day and she had another appointment. So I'm not even very sure what types of insurance she arranged for us!
I want to look into insurance myself because I think £120/mth is too steep for us. I am thinking we will need:
1) MPPI - In case any one of us gets redundant or ill or can't work, we can still pay off our mortgage.
2) Buildings and contents insurance
3) Critical Illness and Life insurance
I am 25 and my husband is 23. Both non smokers with full time employment - no risk of losing our jobs (yet!) and no horrendous family history of dieases etc.
Is there anything else we may need to consider? If we approach a fiancial advisor, what are the fees involved?
Thanks for any comments in advance..
