Best free Anti-Virus Application is Avast!
If you use Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Vista they already have a suitable firewall installed, however if you are behind a NAT Router then it is not really critical that you have a software based firewall installed as the NAT Router already has a suitable application built in by default, unless it is cheap NAT Router then I would upgrade it or if you must keep it then I would insist on installing a suitable security appliance of some description.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
I would say AVG0

I think you'll find this subject has been covered over and over again, I suggest you search and read the recent threads, Avast, Avira and AVG are the main contenders...
Firewalls, again there are various including: ZoneAlarm, Comodo etc, have a read... Anti-virus isn't a firewall nor vice-versa, ensure you only have one anti-virus and one software firewall running.0
