Council Tax And Bailiffs

I went to the council this morning and the lady there said i should of been given council tax benefit for the times i went on half pay which was Aug 08.

So they gonna look into it for me but will take 7 to 10 days

I rang the baliff office to explain but they said they cant do anything to put it on hold until the council contact them.

The lady at council said its in the hands of bailiffs and there is nothing she can do

I did send you a PM yesterday which I hope that you received. The response from the council is dreadful. If they can identify that you should have been getting benefits for the period when you were not working.....then they should have contacted the bailiff to ask them to put the account on hold until such time as the revised account is calculated.

I would be inclined to push the council to instruct them to put this account on hold.
