Weird Word Problem

When I copy and paste text into word it often has an extra line between lines of text, which then seems to affect that part of the document permanently.
I've checked the paragraph settings and it says it's on single line spacing the same as the rest the document
, does anyone know how to fix this.

Did you check the Before and After spacing was 0 in the Paragraph setting box and also the at box was blank?0

Sorry, another thought.
Are you pasting from a web page? If you are, does it still do it if you either:
a) paste into Notepad first, then copy and paste out of notepad into Word?
b) When pasting into Word, click Paste Special -> Unformatted Text from the edit menu instead of just pasting it.
It could be some hidden formatting in the copied text that is throwing Word.0 -
If you go to the Format menu, and select Paragraph, you can set line spacing to single or double - might be worth checking this isn't set to double.
If you're copying formatted text (e.g. from a website) rather than plain text (e.g. from Notepad), you can use a little tool called PureText, which optionally removes formatting for you on the fly. It's a very useful little program!0
