Saving Ipod classic games.

I have been told that when you purchase music from ITunes you need to back up and burn these to disk.

The reason I am told is that you cannot reclaim your purchases even if you have the receipts. If you need to replace your music files for example after a disk failure, replacing your purchased music cannot be done.

If this is true then if I want to purchase a game for the classic, do I back this up like you would for music so it is mine to load again if all fails?

Has anyone out there had this problem and, were you allowed to download without spending money again?

Thanks in advance.

Pimpers.
