3] Michael has to file for bankruptcy in person, so he's leaving his flat for the first time this year.
2] Maria has sent her 9 year old out for the day, out of the way. She's gone to the court.
1] Tracy/Melvin have accepted an offer of £75k for their house, so turned up at court to beg for the extra time. As she's on SSP, if she can prove she is she will get the court fees paid. They've got their whiney kids in tow to cope with. She's trying to fill in some forms, kids are playing up and get sent to bed, then they cry; now him and her are short with each other. They're struggling with the forms and he's threatening to walk out.0 -
The woman in family 1 is a saint... her husband is a kn0b and flies off the handle at tiny things....0

melvin needs to be kicked into touch...poor woman...she has tried... he is a leecherIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
2] Maria did it. No more forms. She looks happy as Larry it's all over. She showed her certificate, she's now bankrupt and she can breathe again.
She surrendered the car voluntarily to the finance company and they collected it.
3] Michael is bankrupt - and is down the pub having a pint. First pint in 18 months. He won't have another now for another 2 years. Happy as Larry it's all behind him.
1] Tracy/Melvin's car is taken away.0 -
Classic!!!
Old bloke talking about how things used to be.....
"If a bottle of milk was 4 pence, and you only had 3 pence, TOUGH!, you had to wait until tomorrow"
Lol-yeah but Mastercard wasn't as easy as pressing 4 little numbers into a keypad 20 years ago was it-lol. And those people who had credit cards wouldn't of used them out of desperation to put food and essentials on like people do now.
Do me a favour! Some people make me laugh sometimes!Loan-£3600 only 24 months of payments to go!!!
All debt consolodated and cards destroyed!!
As D'Ream would sing 'Things.....can only get better'!!!0 -

i THINK THey were driving round in newer cars than mine. That makes me smileI came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -

...no, they would have used the pawn shop. Good clothes go in on Monday, get bought with Friday's paycheck all ready for Church on Sunday.

2] Maria's had a call from the Official Receiver. She had borrowed money from her mum and had paid it back last year. The OR says her mum and sister might have to pay that money back. She didn't know they'd be dragged into it and feels sick. The OR did pursue this but after 4 months of investigation he decided they didn't have to make any payments back (her mother's a pensioner).
3] Michael is still getting bills and claims from energy companies etc that were all supposed to be part of her bankruptcy. A bill came from the Inland Revenue saying he hadn't paid £5k for Maggie's tax (ex Carer). But this wasn't part of the bankruptcy, so he might have to go bankrupt again just for the tax man. He thought bankruptcy would be the end of it, but it doesn't seem to be.
1] Tracy/Melvin, two months on and the house sale has still not gone through and there's no council house for them yet, so they're living day by day. She's just explained to one of her lads that they can't afford the house so can't stay.0 -
1] December, TracyMelvin still not found somewhere to live. 7 months on from first court case and nothing's changed. It's hard to keep smiling for 7 months, having to tell the children "no" all the time. Final date is 13 January, they can't appeal for any more extensions after that.
Tracy thought if they'd taken proper advice earlier it might have turned out different. It's embarrassing so you stay quiet.
2] Maria will get back to where she was, it's a learning curve and she's on it. She will keep on one step at a time.
3] Michael says cards hould be cut up. If you're thinking about paying off one with another, you've gone too far and have to stop.
1] Tracy "You just need to get help before you get in a mess liek we did. Just swallow your pride"
On the 13th January Tracy/Melvin were repossessed, they're now homeless.0
