While trying to change the touch screen on my ds lite i broke the clip that holds the ribbon in place, don't laugh! Where can i buy one of these? Are these ribbon clips a standard size or is it more complicated than that?
thanks

Perhaps you could find an alternative part: http://www.dealextreme.com/products.dx/category.604
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Currys run Partmaster which'll most likely be able to get you bits and pieces. The website above is from the US so you might want to avoid the shipping costs/time.
My experiences with Currys customer support haven't been great to say the least but I don't know about Partmaster. The website is www.partmaster.co.uk and they also have their telephone number on there. I'm sure if you pop into a Currys branch they'll be able to help you obtain it by ordering it from the store instead if thats a better option for you.:beer:0 -
Dealextreme is actually based in Hong Kong and shipping costs are free. They are v competitively priced too.0

+1 for dealextreme, an excellent site. They do sell some utter crap but they have some real bargains as well. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Do you need the clip, can you get the clip where you got replacement screen from. Use something else ...double sided tape for example?0

Thanks to all!
Can you just stick it with tape?
As none of these places sell them, i could get a broke one of ebay and take the clip out it but they are still going for good money even though they are broke0 -

That's probably due to their rarity, you shouldn't have too much trouble using some tape though I would sugest using some Electrical Tape: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_tape as opposed too just any old tape, but they are all pretty much the same thing, it shouldn't cause you any problems you only want something to maintain the connection afterall.
