What are you having on the tables for the kids??

I made up bags with colouring books, and quiz books, coloured pencils and some little toys from tescos and asda. All the kids were really well behaved and many drew pics of us and gave them too us before they went to bed. There was no mess and the mothers all thanked us for the bags.
We had 20 kids at our wedding with 10 under 4yrs old! But not one tantrum and all the kids seemed to have a good time. Our venue was great as well, there was a lot of room to run around and we hired an extra room with cartoons on in it all evening. I found a couple of the dads asleep in there during the night!

hawkins bazaar is online and has shops and I think they have party-bag type things.
I would advise crayons or pencils rather than pens or paints as everyone will be in their best clothes - especially important for brides wearing white!
Also be careful of bubble mix being spilt on the dancefloor unless you are hoping for £250 from you've been framedwhen someone falls on their bum!
The card making bags seem a particularly good idea.0 -
Out of the 40 people at our wedding, 8 of them will be children. My eldest neice is nearly 14 though, so I am treating her like an adult and giving her the same favours as the women.
For the younger ones, who will range from 2 to 12, I will make age-related sparkly gift bags, which will contain a selection of colouring books, pencils, jigsaws, crossword puzzles, and some chocolate for after te meal.
We also found out that the venue has a children's play park round the back, so once the photos are all done, they can go and explore it.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I provided crayons and colouring books for the children at my daughter's wedding. Children sat with their parents during the meal and speeches. (the speaches were all short!) I feel that children should be included in gatherings so that they learn social skills.
As above, no bubbles. People can slip and what starts out as something nice can end in tears!0 -
Our venue already has a selection of children's books and will provide crayons and paper (I was planning on doing that anyway). I'm also going to make up some beanbags for them to play with in the garden, they do less damage than balls! I went to a wedding recently where each child got a gift bag with a book, colouring stuff and a box of raisins in it, they loved it.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

I've just ordered a load of stuff from https://www.funkydorypartybags.co.uk. I particularly liked the activity and colouring books, as well as the 'slates' and sticker scenes. No mess!! LOL0

i did party bag type things with toys and a few sweets in
they had fortune telling fish in which I think the adults had more fun with than the kids
.
I also did some wedding wordsearches but forgot to put them in the bags - they must still be about here somewhere
.
I made them myself on hereOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
