Acer Netbook Connection help needed

Having trouble connecting my Acer...help needed,please...it has found the wanadoo access point,but then i get a box (wlan settings) which asks for a password.....have typed in password i have for wanadoo,but isnt connecting.
working with ethernet cable but still asking for password as above post to get wireless....Help!!!!
shows the available wanadoo service but wont connect wirelessly

connect with your Lan cable
click http://192.168.1.1 (or open a browser, eg , , and enter 192.168.1.1 into the address bar)
under 'settings', click access- enter the password admin and click sign in
- click WiFi settings in the 'Livebox' menu
- in the 'Security Key' field,
if it still will not connect wirelessly then try dropping the security level to WEP from WPA
worse case turn security off and try to connect

still no joy,did as in post 4...said sucessful,took ethrnet out and was back to square one with box (wlan settings) asking for a password.0

have you tried turning wireless security off totally, you need to save the new settingEx forum ambassador
