How To Sell Damaged Car Safely?

My daughter had an accident last year and the cars been advertised for repair or parts, its got front damage ect.
People are ringing to come and see it but shes not been able to get back from uni this weekend now so can I sell it while shes not here? All the paperwork is here but I don't want to do anything wrong and have her liable if they do the car up, I've never sold a car before.
Should it have sold as seen on it or anything? Some of the people ringing seem like dealers and some are just people wanting to do it up
Do you think its safer to sell it to a local car scrap yard?

When it does get sold, make sure you get the details of the new owner and send off the form advising of change of ownership to the DLVA yourself - that way if they do the car up, you know it is not in your daughters name. The only computer error is a human one.0

Does it make any difference though that the car was in a crash?
I've got the log book ready as someone wants to buy it now. They have left a deposit and are coming to tow it away tomorrow but does anything extra have to be put on the form that gets sent to the DVLA about the crash? and should I put sold as seen on anything?
The car has been SORN since the crash as its been off the road so it has no tax will this matter? I expect she will have to inform the tax place about selling the car too?Thanx

I would also inform the insurance company concerned so they can update their records if the car is repaired then it will need to be re registered as to being road worthy this should stop anyone trying to sell the car on without disclosing that it has been repaired
also get a signed that document that states the condition of the vehicle ie un road-worthy then send a copy this off with the documents to the dvla.

A damaged car can be repaired. A crash repaired car is not a problem providing that it's been repaired properly.
Anyway, as long as the log book is filled in properly it's up to the new owner as to what they do with it and it's not your responsibility once ownership has been passed to them.Happy chappy0 -
It was third party fire and theft so the insurance are not interested in that although the claims are still going through for the other parties involved.
What do you mean a signed document to say its not roadworthy? do you mean just write one out myself and get the buyer to sign it agreeing the car is not roadworthy and send it with the rest of the log book to the dvla? Or should I just put 'un roadworthy' on that registration side of the log book where he has to sign aswell?Thanx
