Eagle F1 GS-D3 195/50/15 V rating are £32.30 per tyre, delivered from mytyres.co.uk!
Local tyre place want £10 per wheel fitted, so total would be around £90 for the whole job, compared to £150 quoted. I'm going to have to pay them a £20 handling charge on the F1s that they've had delivered, but still £30 better off.Happy chappy0 -

I just put the link to see your reaction :rotfl:
Although I had no trouble from technics tyres, if you are going to fool around I guess you're better off on good tyres. Having said that, They have some 'sporty' looking tyres on their site & I think they would be good enough and a hell of a lot cheaper to burn away.0 -

You can't have them delivered to yourself? Thus avoiding 20 pounds charge?0 -
Warning:-
Tyres are chosen by the car manufacturer with safety as well as tyre wear in mind.
My high performance Saab Aero has 215/45ZR17 Pirelli's fitted as standard (at £100+ each) that have re-inforced sidewalls that can take the power and weight of the vehicle.
If you fit cheap tyres and then have a high speed blow out then say goodbye to your insurance claim (if you're still alive).
Try to get the manufacturers recommended tyres at a discount price, but don't fit cheap rubbish.
Also Performance remoulds ? You're having a laugh !!! It could be you're last0 -
I suppose such cars as yours give a tyre specification to be fitted? such as a type approval spec? As long this matches the tyres fitted = no problem (includes remoulds).0

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. That's what I'm paying to the fitters for them to send back their more expensive tyres, since I ordered them. I won't have to pay that next time.Wig wrote:You can't have them delivered to yourself? Thus avoiding 20 pounds charge?Happy chappy0 -
