Does anyone know whether it is 'aloud' to fit an outside tap to the property??

    Yup, we have done.

Would be best to let them know though, always find that helps.

Crack on mate, never known it to be a problem in my last five quarters. Just make sure you do a good job.

Add to that outside lights, built in wardrobes and the rest!

:rotfl: Thats the funniest thing I've heard in ages ;)

No tap and fitted wardrobes from when the MQ was built which hold next to nothing.

When we need to use a hosepipe we have to attach it to the kitchen tap which then makes the water tank overflow which floods down my bedroom wall into the light socket. The floor there is so bowed that if you go into the master bedroom or the box room (yep it is the size of a shoebox and no good to man nor beast) you walk down hill. In the living room directly underneath the ceiling bows too so its obviously been going on for some time and still they wont do anything about it.

We've just fought to get our MQ regraded from a grade 1 to a grade 4 and with rent overpayments backdated. We moved from a grade 1 house so we knew that they were having a giraffe with the grading system.

I have a crack in my MQ that runs up the back wall, along the side of the house and down the front wall and its getting bigger but a surveyor says its okay. Yeah right! We live on a flood plain! My garden is a bog all year round.

I just had a major gripe about MHS over on Army Net!

Ooops sorry... I meant outside lights and fitted wardrobes. I just asummed most had them as the ones near us do, I thought they had already been fitted as they look like they have been around for some years! Sorry to hear the trouble you've been having! Where are you based? I think certain areas are better than others, we have been quite lucky with ours for a first MQ, as its quite spacious, altho 2 bedroomed and no problems with it. Although the boiler system is a nightmare as it takes so long to warm the water back up after using the tank, shouldn't moan at all really as its cheap to live in it, and helps us pay off our debts.
  • Thats no problem

We are in the South West and this is our 8th quarter. We've had some right dumps and one that was just 4 years old.

    Thank god for regrading!

We're at Boscombe Down and this is definitely the worst quarter we've ever had. I have the surveyor coming out on Tuesday as we now have mould in every room and it's getting worse and eating the walls away. Hopefully they'll do something as I'm allergic to mould!!
