29p@? wow, I had no idea it had gone up that much. I was fully veggie until I had my DD 9 months ago then started eating fish... thought tuna seemed more expensive than I expected!
I like the Waitrose deal at the mo and have stocked up too, mainly because it includes the "springwater" option in the deal. I've seen similar deals at other supermarkets but only with the brine and sunflower option. Don't fancy extra salt or fat thankyou!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
I stocked up on 6 tins of Yellowfin tuna in spring water on sale (according to sel) at my local Sainsbury's (Cheshire) today for 55p each (200g tin). No idea if this is nationwide.0

I used to buy the tinned mackeral fillets, they were boneless, in tomatoe, brine of oil, and it used to be 3 for a £1 which wa sa bargain. They are like, 60p for one now
Tuna is just so expensive now, it used to be a real econimical bbing food now its kinda not as much0 -
99p store - 3 or 4 tins in a cellophane wrapper. Can't remember exact number, but a bargain either way and change from a squid.
Thanks for this I'll check it out at the weekend*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
one stop has a good deal on tuna at the moment but I can't remember what it was, also tinned toms a quality brand 4 pack that works out only a few pence more then value ones. one stop is a place most people forget to look for bargains in but is worth a look now and again you'll be surprised!!0

As regards the original post, I bought 4 185g tins of John West tuna chunks in brine for £2.29 at Netto today. Also had the sunflower oil.0
