Which current account?

Hi apt - so this account from the Halifax is not available now but will be in Feb? Does it have a minimum monthly deposit? Their High Interest Current Account looks quite good at the moment but, your £5 per month regardless would work out a better deal so might hold out for it.
Thanks.
Yes you have to pay in £1,000 per month to get the £5. According to the press release:
'For the new account, credit interest will be replaced by set net cash payments after tax of £5 per month irrespective of balance when accounts are funded with £1,000 a month. Traditional arranged and unarranged overdraft fees and interest rates will be replaced with a daily fee. The Halifax Reward Current Account will be launched 9th February 2009. '0
