From London Victoria to East Croydon station.

I will be starting a new job from Monday and I know the daily return is £5.90. Can I get a cheaper weekly or monthly ticket?

  • If you are travelling before 9:30 the daily return is £7.90, and there are cheaper tickets available. You need a passport sized photo. For a national rail season ticket, Croydon Stations to London Terminals:

    7 Days £33.80
    1 Month £129.80
    3 Months £389.40
    6 Months £778.80
    Annual£1,352.00

If you use much other public transport in London, a Zone 1-5 travelcard season may be better value:
    Weekly: £44.00 Monthly: £169.00 Annual: £1,760.00

An annual ticket also gets you 1/3 off train fares in the South East after 10am, like a Network Railcard.

Here's details on the all benefits an annual season ticket gives you.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

Does anyone know if Croydon is connected to the Oyster system? In other words, can I travel there from central London using only an O card, or do I still need to buy a normal train ticket too?

You can use travelcard seasons on Oyster on National Rail thorouout London and all Transport for London services.

Whilst you currently can not use Oyster PAYG on National Rail at Croydon, but you may use it on Trams and London buses.
