Co-op ISA - UPDATE

Hiya folks,
Has anyone has any success opening a co-op ISA.
I just phoned them on an unrelated subject and the guy said I was eligible for one. The conversation went:
Co-op Man: I see from your file you're eligible for one of our ISA savings accounts.
Me: Surely not, I am bankrupt.
Co-op Man: People with far worse on their credit file have been accepted
Me: You can't get worse than bankrupt:D
Oh how we laughed. :rotfl:
Anyway, I said I'd give it a try, he did it there and then, it wasn't instantly declined, but has gone for referall, which I'm not suprised about as I have a CIFAS marker on my credit file due to being a victim if ID fraud.
So as I sit and wait to see if I get it I am wondering if anyone else has been offered one and got accepted? Or am I being stupidly naive:o

Totally stupid (the policy and not you!) Whilst I know if you've got enough to save you should be repaying debts but that's for the OR to decide. It is good thing to encourage those who were previously in debt to try and save for the future.0 -
