'Rebadged' products - Mattress Help!!!

Hi MSExperts! (forgive me if this is the wrong forum)

I'm looking for a new mattress - I've slept at a couple of friends/family over the past year, and the very comfy mattresses were both Sealy and much recommended.
So I've been looking to compare Sealy prices, but every single retailer seems to have a different 'range' ie - they relable them as different names so you can't compare prices with online retailers!
Needless to say the name of the mattresses my friends/family have are not matching with any I've seen for sale since!
Can anyone advise how you can which are the same mattresses with different names? It gets even more confusing when the 'technical jargon' used is slightly different on each site or in each shop.

If there are any Sealy experts out there that give any advice - I am looking for something medium firm (about the same as the Dreams store Sealy 'Modena' model) but would like to know what mattresses are about the same as this on online stores (trying to save that money!!)
And if anyone has any experience with online mattress stores, I'd like to hear (good and bad).

On a more general note it's so annoying that shops feel so insecure about their price/service that they don't want you to make direct comparisons on the same products! Is it 'mis-selling' at all?
